Get Your Protein Fix Without Meat
Meat has been a staple of our diets thanks to it being a great source of protein. Protein helps you feel full, but it’s also an essential nutrient that helps your body grow, as well as improves your memory, mood, heart health and immune system.
Like with most things in life, eating too much meat isn’t good for you and may increase your cholesterol. Thankfully there are other ways to get protein without eating meat. In fact, they’re usually cheaper than buying meat.

It’s best to eat a mix of these protein alternatives and not count on one single type. These foods are often high in healthy fiber, vitamins and other nutrients that meat doesn’t have, but don’t provide enough protein on their own.
