Thank You Caregivers

Now more than ever, all of us at the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Federal Employee Program (FEP) are reminded of the critical role caregivers play—especially those on the frontline of the COVID-19 pandemic.

With people sheltering in place, practicing social distancing and working from home, the already challenging role of caregiving has become even more difficult. And it’s not just doctors, nurses and first responders but also parents, children, grandparents, neighbors and essential workers who are doing what they can to care for others during this time.

That’s why FEP, along with many other Blue Cross Blue Shield companies across the country, has pledged to honor and support caregivers who are so vitally needed. We have a great opportunity to ensure all caregivers get the support and encouragement they deserve.

We pledge:

To LOOK for caregivers wherever we are.
To see and appreciate the LOVE they are giving,
And to LIFT them up—in any and all ways we can.
All care counts, and we’re all in this together.

The “Thank You for Being a Caregiver” Pledge was started by Archangels, a national movement recognizing and honoring caregivers. Their goal is to identify, thank and support caregivers by connecting them to trusted resources and organizations. You can learn more about Archangels here.

FEP is also encouraging our members and other organizations to take this pledge too. We’re all in this together, and it’s up to us to show caregivers our support and appreciation whenever we can.
