The new year is a new opportunity to take charge of your health. As a member of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Service Benefit Plan, you get access to great health tools and wellness resources that can help you make the most of your coverage and tackle your New Year’s resolutions.
Follow these five easy steps and you’ll be on your way to your healthiest year yet:
1. Sign up for MyBlue®
Want to get more out of your coverage? MyBlue is our members-only website that gives you 24/7 access to smart online tools and resources, including the Blue Health Assessment, Online Health Coach and Personal Health Record. You can also keep track of your out-of-pocket costs, view your claims history and much more.
2. Download the new fepblue app
Want to access your benefits on the go? Get the new fepblue app, now available for free on the App Store® and Google Play™. View and share your member ID card, call the Nurse Line, find a provider or urgent care center near you and more.
3. Start earning rewards
Want to get rewarded for being healthy? With the Wellness Incentive Program, you can earn up to $170 in wellness rewards for taking steps to improve your health. Only the contract holder and spouse can earn rewards under your health plan.
There are 2 ways to earn rewards:
- Take the Blue Health Assessment – You’ll get a personalized health plan plus earn $50
- Complete three eligible Online Health Coach goals – You’ll earn up to an additional $120
Any rewards you earn will be loaded on to your MyBlue Wellness Card. It’s a debit card that you can use to pay for qualified medical expenses, such as doctor’s office copays, prescription drugs, lab fees, plus glasses and contact lenses.
4. Sync your fitness tracker
Did you get a new fitness tracker over the holidays? You can connect it to your MyBlue account to start earning rewards faster. Once connected, your progress will update automatically in the Online Heath Coach. It’s compatible with over 25 devices and apps.
5. Save on gym memberships
Have a resolution to get more active? Through the Fitness Your Way program, you can save at over 9,500 health clubs and fitness centers nationwide. It’s just $29 to enroll and then a $29 fee each month. You must enroll for at least three months.
